Since she was a young girl back in her native Dominican Republic, Rucht D`Oleo showed interest in fashion by creating fabulous gowns for her dolls. She worked with pieces of material to make draped dresses until she was able to use a needle.
Her designs were so impressive

When she finished high school, D`Oleo was determined to enroll in fashion school. In 1995 she formally began building her knowledge in fashion design, attending Instituto Tecnologico Mercy Jacquez in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Her name quickly became well-known among staff and classmates because of her notable ability in design, construction, and pattern-making. In 1998 she graduated from the institute with a diploma in fashion design. The same year, she entered the Emerging Designer Competition and won first place, earning the title Best Designer of the Year.

In early 1999 D'Oleo opened an atelier in Santo Domingo. She was soon hired by various high-end clients, affording her the opportunity to create original collections and earn experience in the fashion industry. After she joined the Dominican Association of Designers, her designs were featured in numerous fashion shows and were published in several local newspapers. She also made gowns for two candidates in the Miss Dominican Republic pageant.

Despite enjoying success in the Dominican Republic, D'Oleo had a vision and dreams that reached beyond her homeland. In 2001 she moved to Miami to attend Miami International University of Art and Design,
where she showcased her talent and skill and earned a degree in fashion design.

D`Oleo`s first collection in the U.S. hits stores next spring. Her new line is rich in wearable and comfortable pieces -- sexy tops, cocktail dresses, casual pants, and tailored jackets -- all one-of-a-kind pieces made with carefully chosen natural materials such as linen, cotton, and silk. D'Oleo's collection caters to the modern woman, one who is secure and self-confident, who feels sensual on the inside and wants to project that on the outside through her style, who attaches emotion and passion to everything she wears, does, or touches.
